The latest Google update, Android 14 QPR 3 Beta 1, isn’t just about the helpful “Circle to Search” feature for Pixel phones. It also has a hidden surprise-a clue about Android 15.

Google likes to hide a little game in each Android update, but there’s no hint about the next Android version yet. However, we can see the codename “Vanillaicecream,” which fits with Android 15’s internal name.

Google names Android versions after desserts in alphabetical order, so Android 15 is nicknamed “Vanilla Ice Cream.”

We don’t know the exact release date for the Android 15 Developer Preview, but Google’s history suggests it might come later this month.

Following the patterns of Android 13 and 14, the first beta versions might come a few months after the Developer Preview. If Google sticks to its usual timeline, Android 15 could be released in October, possibly alongside new Pixel phones.

It’s still too early to know everything about Android 15, but we’ve seen hints. In the recent Android 14 QPR3 beta, there’s a feature called “App Pairs,” hinting at better multitasking in the next Android version.

Google hasn’t announced a firm release date for Android 15 yet, but it’s definitely in development.

As we wait for an official announcement, speculation about the new features and improvements in Android 15 will surely increase.
