Motorola Edge 40 Users in India Start Receiving Android 14 Update
Motorola has started giving out the Android 14 update to users of the Motorola Edge 40 in India. Even though Motorola hasn’t officially announced it, a user on X (previously known as Twitter) spotted the update.
Here are some key points about the update:
- The update is 1.49GB big and has the firmware version U1TL34.115–13. It’s being sent out to users gradually.
- Motorola had promised two major updates for this phone before, hinting that it might also get the Android 15 update later on.
What’s new in the Android 14 Update:
- Better control over personal data: You can now manage permissions for photos, videos, and location sharing more easily.
- Selective media sharing: You can choose which images or videos to share instead of everything.
- Clearer info on apps sharing your location data with others and alerts for any changes in data sharing policies.
- Notifications if an unknown Bluetooth tracker is detected nearby.
- Health Connect integration: It lets you store health data in one place and control what’s shared with fitness apps.
- Flash notifications: You can customize alerts using the camera light, screen light, or both, even when in Do Not Disturb mode.
